The Health Benefits of Eating Eggs

Eggs are such a versatile, affordable and complete ingredient that can be used in various dishes throughout the day – not just at breakfast times. Eggs are super naturally good for you and they provide many of the essential minerals and nutrients required for good health, and for all ages.

Everybody loves eggs! And eggs also cost less than most proteins protein comparison statistics, are full of natural vitamins and minerals, and don’t contain any additives or preservatives.

The three different farming methods provide consumers with a choice and range of eggs to fit their budget and their personal preferences, while maintaining current welfare standards.

We eat approximately 229 eggs per person on average per year egg consumption statistics and according to the New Zealand Heart Foundation, a moderate intake of eggs (1-2 per day) is okay as part of a healthy balanced diet, for most people. For people at increased risk of heart disease, a prudent recommendation is a limit of 6-7 eggs per week*
