EPF Membership

Our Members

EPF represents the interests of 130 + commercial layer farms in New Zealand across the different farming methods and systems.

How it works.

Any individual or organization that purchases 100 or more one-day-old layer chicks in a calendar year, automatically qualifies for EPF membership. Their Membership is currently funded through a levy per chick, which is incorporated into the purchase price of the chicks from the hatcheries. A portion of the Members’ levies also contributes to funding the general promotion of eggs through Eggs Incorporated.

There are two types of membership:

Producer Members – farms that are engaged in egg production.
Rearer Members – farms who rear the birds until the point of laying.

In addition to farmers, we welcome industry Allied Members i.e. companies who supply products or services to the wider New Zealand Egg Industry and are interested in supporting EPF and its membership. Allied Members contribute by paying an annual membership fee on application.
